Holiday Photo Cards

It’s almost that time of year!  Thanksgiving is just around the corner and Christmas will soon follow.  Although we have already had our family portraits taken by our Salt Lake photographer for our annual holiday photo card, I still haven’t even begun writing the personal notes on each one!  Eeek!  Stressful as it may be, I’ve picked up a few tips and here and there to make the holiday card process a little easier.

  • When it comes to choosing a color photo versus black and white, keeping in mind that black and white tends to appear more formal.
  • Write a personal note on each card!  I’ve already admitted that I’m seriously behind on this but rest assured, I will do each one.  I feel like a personal one in each card is extremely important and shows your sincerity and thoughtfulness.  Writing just a handful each day will make the task much more manageable.
  • Most photo cards accommodate 4” x 6” photos only, so make sure your photo is processed in that size.
  • To save precious time, have your return address printed on the envelopes.
  • If you just don’t have time to send your cards out before Christmas, extend your time and send a New Year card.  This will give you more time to get the cards out without stressing about it.
